Echo

My thesis, titled Echo, takes Greek and Roman mythologies and designs touchpoints for them to fit a more modern audience. These mythologies tell universal truths that could and should be shared in the present day. My hope is that people can relate to, and therefore find comfort in, these stories. Echo achieves this by using commonly found objects such as posters, bandanas, and packaging, and design elements like icons and patterns, to highlight both the repeating themes of human nature throughout time, as well as the repeating shapes ancient people used to create patterns. In doing this, Echo is able to connect the modern individual with the ancient past.
