A Playful Recollection

Growing up, my family wasn’t super religious in the sense that I never went to church or learned much about the Bible besides in passing. The only times I’d go to church was when I was with my cousins and even then it was rare for me to go. Now, I don’t go to church at all or follow the teachings but I have fond memories of when I went which has led to me making my own version of religion based off of Catholicism but in a more playful and child-like way. My own playful version of Gods and praying to them while using people I care for. Making a piece that I enjoy, love and am proud of.

Bio

Elle Galindo is an artist who is currently going to Maine College of Art & Design. She enjoys creating portraits since she has a love for rendering the finer details and is fond of creating sculptural objects with her hands. Her objects are pieces created to resemble human body parts since she likes to disassemble and manipulate the human body in ways that people wouldn’t think of. In her spare time, she will watch her favorite crime show called Law and Order SVU and she currently lives in Portland, Maine.
