Raikonid Field Journal

The land of Raikonid is a place of wonder. My field journal combines world building with illustration, writing, and storytelling. I wanted to enjoy the strange and unusual as I, myself, am the same. This project has given me the opportunity to explore so many things I love about art and telling a story in many different ways. I hope this piece will bring a smile to your face as well as take you on a journey through a new land.

Bio

Miranda Colby (Also known as MEColby) is a Maine Illustrator focusing on illustrative storytelling and sequential work. Growing up surrounded by fantastical stories, Miranda has worked to do the same. Starting off with a dance background and storytelling through movement, it has been an integral part of their work to find new ways of telling a narrative without relying solely on a specific set of rules. Creating a fun way to narrate a story while also combining different ways to do so is what they strive to do to create something engaging and interesting to the viewer and themself.
